  1. Welcome to ChordLab 1.0
  2.  
  3. What you need:
  4.         -    You need system 7
  5.         -    You need QuickTime 2.1 ( read on for information where to get it )
  6.         -    You need a Mac

  8. Restrictions:
  9.         -    This demo version does not support printing and EarTraining
  10.  
  11.  
  12. Tip:
  13.                 ChordLab has extensive balloon help. In order to understand all of the the little icons it is highly
  14.                 recommended that you scan the main window with balloon help turned on.

  18. This utility functions like a chord calculator 
  19.  
  20. You name a chord ( C ) and specify what kind of chord it is ( major ) with the keypad and ChordLab will spit out the correct spelling in a couple of ways:
  21. -    It will correctly use music notation with the right accidentials.
  22. -    It will give you the names of the individual notes.
  23. But that is not all!
  24.  
  25. ･    ChordLab 1.0 does inversions right on your screen. Click a button and any possible     
  26.         inversion is right there spelled the proper way ( Ever wonder how to spell a Cb-7 chord ? ).
  27. ･    ChordLab 1.0 goes voicings! Need a Drop-2, a Drop-2+4 ? Well, that would be just one
  28.         click. 
  29. ･    ChordLab does TAB! If you are a guitar player and canﾕt read music that well - 
  30.         ChordLab lets you choose TAB format.
  31. ･    ChordLab does grand staff as well for all you piano players.

  38.     Whatﾕs a chord if you canﾕt hear it, right? Well, as you noticed above, ChordLab uses QuickTime 2.1 to bring you a whole synthesizer right there in your Mac to sound out chords. It is up to you to use the Grand Piano, Hammond Organ, Ensemble Hit, Chromatic Drums and a ton of effect sounds like: Helicopter, Telephone Ring, Applause ... 
  39.     No, you donﾕt need a synthesizer. You only need a Mac. This stuff works even on a Classic. 
  40. You only need QuickTime 2.1 fully installed and if you donﾕt have it,

  49. ･    ChordLab retains a memory of the last eight chords you had it calculate. You can review
  50.         those at any time.
  51. ･    Better yet, you can print them! Well, you canﾕt print the sound, but if you have to come up 
  52.         with some chords for arranging or other stuff...

  58. ･    ChorLab does EarTraining! Inside the application is a full EarTraining module that can be
  59.         configured and gradually brings your ears up to standard. If you cannot recognize a
  60.         third inversion major 7th chord at this point and you have anything to do with contempory
  61.         music, you are in bad shape.
